The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders are playing their best basketball of the season right now.  They are 7-1 SU & 6-2 ATS in their last eight games overall.  I fully expect them to make easy work of the Charlotte 49ers today.

Middle Tennessee is a perfect 11-0 at home this season while outscoring opponents by an average of 17.8 points per game.  They have won 10 of their 11 home games by 9 points or more, so covering this 6-point spread shouldn’t be a problem here.

Charlotte is 2-3 SU in Conference USA road games this season with all three losses coming in blowout fashion to Old Dominion by 16, North Texas by 14 and Florida Atlantic by 29.  The 49ers are 27-56 ATS in their last 83 road games overall.

Middle Tennessee simply owns Charlotte, going 11-1 SU & 8-2-2 ATS in the last 12 meetings.  The home team is 9-1-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings.  The Blue Raiders are 8-2-2 ATS in their last 12 home games.  Bet Middle Tennessee Sunday.

They lost by 7 at home to the Cleveland Cavaliers who were without Darius Garland in their first game with their new team.  It won’t get any easier tonight against the Timberwolves.  Minnesota is 14-6 ATS in its last 20 games against a team with a losing record.  

The Timberwolves are 8-0 ATS in Sunday games this season.  Minnesota is 8-1 ATS in its last nine games off a road loss by 10 points or more.  Give me the Timberwolves.

The Bengals come into this Super Bowl on a 7-0 ATS run. They were out-gained in five of the seven, including all three playoff games. The Rams played the much tougher schedule (No. 2 vs. No. 25) and they get to play at home.

This line suggests the Rams are 2.5 points better than the Bengals on a neutral field. The Rams lost the Super Bowl in 2019 (New England) and bring in a lot of experience.

This line should really be closer to 5 or 5.5 points. The LA Rams’ defensive front is going to cause major headaches for this Bengals’ offensive line. We saw it last year with Tampa Bay over KC.

Sean McVay (Rams) defeated Zac Taylor (Bengals) 24-10, as 12-point home favorites in 2019, with Goff & Dalton at QB. The game was played at LA Memorial Coliseum. The Bengals have never played at SoFi stadium. Light Play on the Rams!

The dreaded “Calgary double-header” is never an easy task for any team, and I expect the Knights to predictably stumble here in the 2nd game of the B2B.

Calgary hasn’t played since a 4-2 win at Arizona just before the All-Star game. It plays with revenge here after a 3-2 loss at Vegas at the start of December as well.

Fatigue is an issue here for Vegas, but certainly not for Calgary; consider the Flames on Wednesday night!

The Raptors roll into this contest winners of six games in a row both SU and ATS. I would argue this is the toughest game for them to get up for over that stretch as they face a non-conference opponent for the first time since January 23rd (when they lost outright as an eight-point home favorite against the Blazers).

Double-digit wins haven’t been commonplace for the Raps this season but here they are coming off consecutive double-digit victories over the Hawks and Hornets. Keep in mind, they shot a blistering 57% in the first of those two wins before a reeling Charlotte squad knocked down just 41% of its shots against them last time out.

Here, I look for the Thunder to hang tough. They check in off consecutive losses, allowing both opponents to shoot better than 50% from the field. Only once previously this season has Oklahoma City allowed over 50% shooting in back-to-back games.

On that occasion, they followed it up with a double-digit win and cover in Detroit. Here, we’ll note that the Raptors are 0-10 ATS as a road favorite of between 6.5 and 12 points over the last three seasons and have actually been outscored by an average margin of 3.1 points in that situation.

Meanwhile, the Thunder are 23-12 ATS off a loss this season and 26-11 ATS after being held to 105 points or less in their previous game, as is the case here. You would have to go all the way back to November of 2016 to find the last time Toronto defeated Oklahoma City by 10 points or more and I don’t see it happening here. Take Oklahoma City.

Minny’s game on Thursday night was canceled due to Covid protocol with the Gophs. Sounds like they’ll most likely get some of their players back here and we like the spot for Minnesota.

Rutgers is off a huge home win over Iowa 48-46. The Knights are 5-2 in Big 10 play but the majority of their big wins have come at home (vs Iowa & Purdue both by 2 points).

On the road, they are just 1-5 SU on the year with their only win coming @ Maryland with losses to DePaul (4th lowest-rated team in the Big East) and UMass (153rd ranked team in the nation).

Minnesota is 1-5 in the Big 10 and in must-win mode. The Gophers have played the toughest schedule so far in conference play already having faced Michigan State (twice), Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, and Indiana.

The Gophs are +5 PPG point differential and home this year and Rutgers is -10 PPG differential on the road. The home team has been a moneymaker in this series winning 7 of the last 9 in this series before last year’s final meeting when Rutgers won @ Minny in OT.

Revenger and must win for Minnesota and we’ll fade Rutgers off their huge home win on Thursday night.

SIU Edwardsville has lost two in a row, but previous to that the Cougars beat Eastern Illinois by 13 points and hung tough in a 74-69 loss to Murray State as an 11-point home ‘dog. Murray State and Morehouse State are the lone unbeaten teams in the Ohio Valley. 

The Cougars are 6-1 ATS following a loss.

Now I look for them to win this game by double-digits over DePaul Saturday. The Blue Demons are just 1-6 SU in their last seven games overall. They have lost three straight road games to open conference play against weaker teams than Creighton in Butler, St. John’s, and Marquette.

Creighton simply owns DePaul. The Bluejays are 14-0 SU & 12-2 ATS in their last 14 meetings with the Blue Demons. They have won each of their last six home meetings with DePaul all by 13 points or more. Bet Creighton Saturday.

This is more of a play against BYU than it is a play on San Diego.  This is a terrible spot for the Cougars.  They are coming off three straight games against the three best teams in WCC in St. Mary’s, Gonzaga, and San Francisco.  They will have a hard time getting up for San Diego after playing those three teams.

That’s going to make it hard for the Cougars to cover this massive 16-point spread against the Toreros.  San Diego has gone 6-2 SU in its last eight games overall with one of those losses coming at San Francisco by 15 as 17.5-point dogs.  I think they can stay within 16 of BYU as well here given the spot.

Plays against favorites of 10 or more points (BYU) – off an upset win as an underdog against an opponent that is off two or more consecutive home wins are 28-6 (82.4%) ATS over the last five seasons.  Bet San Diego Thursday.

They had yesterday off following a 102-86 home win over the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday.  The Indiana Pacers don’t have the same luxury.  They will be playing the second of a back-to-back and their 3rd road game in 4 days after an upset win over the Los Angeles Lakers last night.  

The top six players all played at least 26 minutes for the Pacers and four played over 30 minutes.  They could decide to rest one or a few of their key players tonight.  

That was a rare win for the Pacers, who are just 2-10 SU in their last 12 games overall.  Golden State is 11-2 ATS in its last 13 games as a double-digit favorite.  The Warriors are 36-16-1 ATS in their last 51 home games.  Give me the Warriors.

The Seattle Kraken are coming off a 3-2 (SO) win over Chicago, and now they are home favorite against San Jose. The Kraken are overvalued, and they have been all year.

I said as much on a live sports chat show on Youtube on December 1st, and I suggested betting against Seattle in every game moving forward as long as the bookmakers have them overvalued.

They have gone 3-13 since then, and I am still following through with this strategy. The Sharks are currently sitting in the last Wild Card spot in the Western Conference, with Calgary just two points behind. The Kraken are just 1-8 in their last nine home games.

The Terriers have failed to cover 12 of 16 on Sundays, 14 of 20 off a spread loss, and 7 straight at home vs a team that has a .600 or higher road winning percentage. With the road team on a 6-1 spread run in this series, we will go with Navy.

Yes Wolverhampton is coming off of a string of low-scoring matches in Premier League action but, keep in mind, they did just defeat Sheffield United 3-0 in English FA Cup action.

Also, Southampton will have a little something to say about how this match plays out and they have seen 8 of their last 10 matches across all competitions total 3 or more goals.

This is an extremely dangerous spot for Texas Tech. The Red Raiders enter this road matchup having dealt top-ranked Baylor its first loss of the season this past Tuesday and followed that up with a 78-57 victory against Oklahoma State two days ago.

Now the Red Raiders draw a desperate Kansas State squad that is above .500, but 0-4 in the Big 12. Texas Tech hasn’t been good in this role – 0-6 ATS the past six times as road chalk.

Kansas State is good enough to defeat Texas Tech straight-up if the Red Raiders come in flat. The Wildcats rank 29th in defense giving up 61.7 points. They rank eighth in 3-point percentage defense and 30th in defensive field goal percentage.

The Wildcats don’t get much scoring from their frontcourt, but they have strong backcourt play as three guards – Nijel Pack, Markquis Nowell and Mark Smith – all are averaging in double-digits.

Both of these teams are coming off a string of high-scoring games. The Penguins skated to a 6-2 rout of the Flyers two nights ago while the Stars outlasted the Panthers in a 6-5 OT thriller.

Here, I expect a different story to unfold. Note that the ‘under’ is a perfect 8-0 the last eight times the Penguins have played on the road off three straight wins by two goals or more, as is the case here, with that situation producing an average total of just 3.0 goals.

Meanwhile, the ‘under’ is 43-16 the last 59 times the Stars have come off three consecutive games scoring four goals or more, which is also the case here, leading to an average total of just 4.7 goals in that spot.

This will be the second meeting of the season between these two teams after Dallas prevailed by a 2-1 score in Pittsburgh back on October 19th. We’ll likely see a goaltending matchup of Tristan Jarry against Jake Oettinger.

Notre Dame is coming off a big win over North Carolina on Wednesday to make it four straight wins for the Irish as they improved to 2-1 in the ACC.

Notre Dame now hits the road where it has struggled, going 1-2 with the two losses coming by blowouts against Boston College and Illinois and the lone win being a one-point win at Pittsburgh. Overall, the Irish are 6-0 at home but just 2-5 on the highway, getting outscored by close to nine ppg.

The defense has been solid overall but on the road, Notre Dame is allowing opponents to shoot 49.1 percent from the floor including 40.7 percent from long range.

Georgia Tech is coming off a loss at Duke but it played well, losing by 12 points as the Blue Devils took advantage of a home-court edge by outscoring the Yellow Jackets 26-9 from the free-throw line.

Georgia Tech has lost two straight games and six of its last seven but those losses have come against teams a combined 70-12 so it has been a brutal stretch.

The Bruins get the most from the least and excellent defense and goaltending. The Bruins have scored just 87 goals but only two other NHL teams have given up less than Boston’s 79.

The Bruins are basically just .500 in their L10 games (5-3-2) and after Marchand, Bergeron, and Pastrnak, nobody on Boston can find the back of the net. Not good against the Lightning that’s 6-3-1 L10 and 12-3-3 at home.

Tampa Bay has scored 33 goals more than Boston in just two more games and the Bruins just don’t have the firepower to keep up, especially on enemy ice.

The Huskies saw SE Louisiana make a ridiculous 16 of 25 three-pointers yesterday and that was the difference in the game.

However, Houston Baptist won the 2nd half by 6 points even with all that hot shooting for the Lions. As for the Privateers, they lost by 10 points in double overtime to McNeese State.

Losing in double OT was extremely frustrating and plus New Orleans’s top four scorers in the game all played about 40 minutes – or a normal full game.

Miami opened last season 1-3 but won NINE of its final 12 games (5-1 at home, losing only to KC), to just miss the playoffs at 10-6. Optimism was high entering 2021 but after a 17-16 win at New England in Week 1, the Dolphins lost SEVEN straight games.

However, Miami has rebounded with a 7-0 SU & 6-1 ATS run to become the first team in NFL history to win seven straight games and also lose seven consecutive games in the same season. The now 8-7 Dolphins can make the playoffs but they’ll have to beat both the 10-4 Titans and 9-6 Patriots to close out the regular season.

Miami is in Nashville on Sunday to take on the Titans, who rallied from a 10-point halftime deficit in Week 16 to beat the 49ers 20-17 on Bullock’s 44-yard FG with four seconds left.

“We’re not dead yet,” Tennessee head coach Mike Vrabel said of the Titans, who had lost three of their previous four games. Now, a win over the Dolphins would give the Titans their second straight AFC South championship.

Miami QB Tua Tagovailoa (70.1% for 2,339 yards with 15 TDs and 9 INTs) has made a living this year out of short and safe passes to rookie WR Waddle and TE Gesicki. Waddle has set the Dolphins’ rookie record for receiving yards with 941 on 96 catches and Gesicki. has 67 catches for 707 yards with two TDs.

The Miami running game is a problem, as the Dolphins average only 86.6 YPG on the ground to rank 30th of 32 teams. The Miami D has allowed just 11.8 PPG in its seven-game winning streak and checks in allowing 21.0 PPG on the season to rank 10th.

The Titans haven’t been the same since RB Derrick Henry was lost with a foot injury in Week 8. QB Ryan Tannehill has had to shoulder more of the load, and he has thrown for fewer than 200 yards in four of seven games since Henry (937 yards / 10 TDs) was hurt. Henry has not played since a 34-31 OT win at Indy.

Tannehill has fallen off dramatically from the previous two seasons. He won the job during 2019 and wound up with 22 TDs and just 6 INTs (QB rating of 117.5). He then had a 33-7 ratio in 2020 with a 106.5 rating. His 2021 numbers? 15 TDs and 14 INTs and a QB rating of 84,8.

Tannehill had not thrown for more than 191 yards in the three games WR Brown had been on injured reserve but the third-year receiver was activated off IR before last week’s game and caught 11 passes for 145 yards with a TD. Tannehill threw for 209 with a TD and no INTs.

The backstory in this game is that Tannehill spent six seasons as Miami’s starting quarterback, struggling with the mediocre talent surrounding him (Tannehill had a 42-46 record as Miami’s starting QB). However, with Tennessee, Tannehill has produced an impressive 28-13 record.

The Dolphins are ‘on fire’ but winning here will be tough. Note that Miami has been very fortunate during its winning streak, the second-longest active run in the NFL, as the Dolphins have beaten just ONE team that does not have a losing record. That team is Baltimore, which is barely above .500 at 8-7, having lost FOUR in a row.

I expect Tannehill to come up with a HUGE effort against his former team and I’m laying the points.

I think this line has gotten out of hand.  It’s a great time to ‘buy low’ on the Baltimore Ravens off four straight losses.  They are playing for their playoff lives right now and will give a big effort at home here against the Los Angeles Rams Sunday.

The injury report isn’t great for the Ravens, but it is better than it was last week as they are getting a ton of players back from COVID.  That includes QB Tyler Huntley, who has proven to be an underrated backup in case Lamar Jackson cannot go.  He nearly beat the Packers two weeks ago in a 30-31 home loss at 8.5-point underdogs.

Huntley is completing 68.8% of his passes for 743 yards with a 3-to-1 TD/INT ratio, while also rushing for 168 yards and two scores on 5.8 per carry in his limited action.  He beat the Bears on the road, and he nearly led the comeback in a 2-point loss to the Browns as 3-point dogs after Jackson got hurt.  

Both Jackson and Huntley are massive upgrades over Josh Johnson, who was a late fill-in for the last week in the blowout loss to the Bengals.  That loss also has them undervalued because their defense got shredded.  Baltimore will have almost its entire front seven healthy on defense, and the secondary gets a couple of key pieces back this week as well.

It’s a great time to ‘sell high’ on the Los Angeles Rams.  They have won four straight games and don’t need this game as badly as the Ravens as they will be going to the playoffs.  It will be the 3rd road game in 4 weeks for the Rams in this tough spot.  They have a long flight to Baltimore for this early start time on the East Coast.

Baltimore is 9-1 ATS in its last 10 games after getting outgained by 200 or more yards in its previous game.  The Ravens are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 games in the last four weeks of the regular season.  The Ravens are 15-5-1 ATS in their last 21 games as underdogs, including 4-0 ATS in their last four games as home dogs.  Bet the Ravens Sunday.

The Iowa Hawkeyes’ already stagnant offense will be without their best player in RB Tyler Goodson.  He rushed for 1,151 yards and six touchdowns, while also catching 31 balls for 247 yards and a score.  Their offense held them back all season as they averaged fewer than 300 yards per game and only 4.5 yards per play.  Take Goodson away and it’s even worse.

I think the Kentucky Wildcats can win a defensive battle.  They had one of their best offenses in recent memory at 33.3 points, 430 yards per game, and 6.6 yards per play.  They have great balance with 225 passing yards per game and 66.6% completions to go along with 205 rushing yards per game and 5.5 per carry.

Kentucky always has a stout defense, and that was the case again this year with 22.1 points per game and 337.1 yards per game allowed.  Iowa does have a slightly better defense, but Kentucky’s edge on offense more than makes up for it.  

The Wildcats outgained their opponents by 93 yards per game this season, while Iowa was actually outgained by 29 yards per game on the year despite its 10-3 record.

Clearly the Hawkeyes aren’t as good as their 10-3 record would indicate.  They benefited from an easy schedule and avoided all the best teams in the Big Ten East division.  

That was until they met Michigan in the Big Ten Championship, and we saw how that worked out for them in a 42-3 blowout loss.  

They also lost 27-7 to Wisconsin.  Kentucky played Georgia tougher than anyone in the SEC outside Alabama in a 13-30 road loss.

The Wildcats have won three straight bowl games.  Kentucky is 10-2 ATS in its last 12 non-conference games.  The Wildcats are 21-7-1 ATS in their last 29 games vs. a team with a winning record.

Plays against all teams where the line is +3 to -3 (Iowa) – after allowing 6.25 or more yards per play in their previous game against an opponent that outgained its opponent by 125 yards or more in two consecutive games are 30-9 (70.6%) ATS over the last 10 seasons.  Bet Kentucky Saturday.

On a positive note, New York is expected to have Mat Barzal back on the ice. This is a matchup it should be able to handle even without its full complement of players. I see the Isles using this post-holiday break as an opportunity to start fresh and perhaps turn their season around after showing signs of life prior to the shutdown. Take New York.

Texas State is the defending Sun Belt Conference champion. But the Bobcats have been overrated this season with a losing point spread record. They rank 325th in defensive field goal percentage allowing opponents to make 54.7 percent of their shots from the floor. 

The Bobcats are far from an elite team with losses to LSU, Vanderbilt, and Houston by 33 points in their last game eight days ago. 

Troy, on the other hand, has been better than perceived with a 9-4 record. The Trojans have won four in a row with the latest being a 69-65 upset road victory against Mercer eight days ago. The Trojans rank 98th in defensive field goal percentage holding foes to 40.6 percent from the field. 

This is the conference opener for both teams. The Trojans enter this matchup confident and playing their best ball. Texas State plays at a slow pace, not good for a favorite in this price range. The Bobcats haven’t proven they should be this high of a favorite against this underrated Sun Belt challenger.

I don’t how you don’t take the Nuggets at +5.5 at home in the rematch. Usually, I will look to take the team that lost the first meeting in a home-away set. The big reason for that is motivation and line value. The books almost always shade the number in favor of the team that won the first meeting. 

I just think that the Warriors are such a public team and everyone wants to bet them regardless of price, the books are going to move the line in their favor. They certainly have here. This line was -3.3 and is now -5.5. 

The big reason I faded Golden State on Tuesday, was it was their first game without Draymond Green, who won’t play in this one either. Green is every bit as important to what the Warriors do as Steph Curry, people just don’t see it that way because Green doesn’t score all the points. They are worse on both sides of the ball without him on the floor. 

They also got some guys coming back from COVID, where conditioning is an issue and this game is in the thin air of Denver. 

As far as Denver’s motivation having just beat the Warriors. They are playing the Warriors on their home floor in a game that is part of a double-header on NBATV. They will be ready to go. I like them to win outright, but I’ll take the points. Give me Nuggets +5.5!

Baltimore made a nice come back at home last week falling just short by 1 to Green Bay. The Ravens have failed to cover 6 of 8 off a spread win and 7 of 9 after allowing 30 or more points. The Lions are playing much better winning 2 of their last 3 games, with both wins coming vs solid competition (Arizona & Minnesota). The Falcons have 6 wins on the season and all 6 have come by 8 points or less.

They don’t beat teams badly no matter what the competition. Detroit has been much more competitive the 2nd half of the season with 6 of their last 8 games being 1 score games with under 1:00 minute to play.

Four of their last five road games have been tight losing by margins of 2, 3, tied @ Pitt, and 9 points @ LA Rams in a game the Lions led in the 4th quarter.

Despite only 2 wins for Detroit and 6 wins for Atlanta, the Lions have a better point differential on the season. If the Falcons do with this game, which we’re not convinced they will, it should be very close.

The Indiana Pacers missed the postseason with a 34-38 record last year, after playing in NINE of the previous 10. The Pacers opened 1-6 and will enter this Christmas Day game in Chicago at 14-19, two games out of the “Play In” cut line.

The Bulls were 31-41 last season, missing the postseason for the FOURTH consecutive year. However, the Bulls have reinvented themselves as a threat in the Eastern Conference behind Zach LaVine and the free-agent signing of DeMar DeRozan. They also picked up center Nikola Vucevic from Orlando last season (where his talents were wasted) plus added Lonzo Ball as a free agent.

Like many other teams in recent weeks, the Bulls have had severe COVID issues but still enter this contest 19-10, battling 22-13 Milwaukee for the Central Division lead. The Bulls currently hold down the No. 2 seed in the East.

When healthy, the Pacers have a strong five-man rotation, as all players average in double digits. PG Brogdon (19.0-5.3-6.1) leads the way, followed by PF Sabonis (18.1-11.6-4.2). SG LeVert (16.7), center Turner (13.4 & 7.5) and 6-5 rookie Duarte (13.2 & 4.1) comprise that group.

The issue for Indiana for tonight’s game is the Pacers are hoping that PG Malcolm Brogdon (right achilles) and forward Domantas Sabonis (right calf) will be back in the lineup. Both are listed as day-to-day after missing Thursday’s 118-106 win over the Houston Rockets. Center Myles Turner, who has 17 blocks over his past five games, contributed 32 points and 10 rebounds in 37 minutes against the Rockets.

The Pacers also received a boost from Caris LeVert, who filled in for Brogdon at point guard and tallied 24 points and 11 assists.

There were ‘whispers’ that the 32-year-old DeMar DeRozan was on the downside of his career but he’s been one of the best players in the NBA so far this season, averaging 26.8-5.2-4.2. He has energized the Chicago Bulls, along with LaVine (26.0-5.3-4.2), Vucevic (15.5 & 10.4), and Ball (13.2-5.4-5.0).

DeRozan missed three games due to the NBA’s COVID protocols before scoring 38 points in last Sunday’s 115-110 win over the Los Angeles Lakers. He then scored 26 in a 133-118 victory over the Houston Rockets on Monday. Cautious optimism has the Bulls hoping the worst of the team’s COVID outbreak is behind them.

In fact, Sunday’s game will mark the first time Chicago has had center Nikola Vucevic, forward DeMar DeRozan and guard Zach LaVine available at the same time in more than THREE weeks.

The Bulls will surely remember the Pacers beating them 109-77 in Chicago back on Nov 22, meaning Chicago has lost its last SIX home games against Indiana Enough is ENOUGH! Lay the points.

The Carolina Panthers are broken on offense. They are without Christian McCaffrey and could be without their best receiver in DJ Moore, who is questionable with a hamstring injury.

They clearly don’t have a quarterback, and they fired a great offensive mind in Joe Brady, letting him be the scapegoat.

The Panthers rank 27th in total offense this season at 310.6 yards per game while scoring just 19.8 points per game.

Now they will be up against a Buffalo stop unit that ranks 1st in total defense at 288.9 yards per game and 3rd in scoring offense at 17.6 points per game. I fully expect the Bills to come close to pitching a shutout here.

Buffalo’s offense has been hit or miss this season, and Josh Allen was in a walking boot all week and won’t be close to 100% if he plays. Allen will be up against an underrated Carolina stop unit that ranks 2nd in total defense at 293.0 yards per game and 8th in scoring defense at 21.7 points per game allowed.

The Panthers are the top-ranked pass D in the league, giving up just 177.7 yards per game, which makes this a bad matchup for a Buffalo offense that relies heavily on the pass.

Temps will be in the 20’s with roughly 10 MPH winds Sunday in Buffalo as well. The UNDER is 9-2 in Bills last 11 games following a loss. Plays on the UNDER on all teams (Carolina) – off an upset loss as a favorite against an opponent off a road game where both teams scored 24 or more points are 39-13 (75%) over the last five seasons.

There’s value on the UNDER in this one due to both Carolina and Buffalo going over their totals last week. Bet the UNDER in this game Sunday.

Tennessee is vastly overrated right now. They are 8-5 on the season yet rank 20th in YPP margin at -0.3. Despite their 8 wins, this Titan team has losses vs both Houston and the NY Jets, two of the worst teams in the league, and have played the 29th SOS so far this season.

Last week they beat Jacksonville, another bottom 5 team, but only gained 3.8 YPP and benefitted from 4 Jaguar turnovers. Since RB Derrick Henry went out with an injury, Tennessee has average just 4.6 YPP over their last 5 games.

While the Titans have played one of the easiest schedules in the NFL, the Steelers have played the 6th most difficult including facing the Chargers, Bengals, Ravens and Packers in their last 4 games.

We were impressed with Pittsburgh’s fight last week @ Minnesota getting down 29-0 but fighting back to make a game of it losing by 8. That game was on Thursday so Pitt has had 10 days to get ready for this absolute must-win game at home.

The Steelers have won 5 straight at home and as a home dog, they are a money-making 10-2 ATS since the start of the 2017 season (Steelers are a small favorite now but opened as a dog).

Pitt is 4 spots out of the AFC playoff picture right now and a loss here would be devastating. We expect them to play well and get the win on Sunday.

“The Urban Meyer era” in Jacksonville fittingly lasted a whopping 13 games. Jacksonville thought it was going to pair the NFL’s No. 1 draft pick (Trevor Lawrence) with Urban Meyer (winner of three national titles) and come away with Brady/Belichick 2.0!

As Maxwell Smart (of Get Smart fame) used to say, “missed it by that much!” Offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell takes over on an interim basis as head coach but the problems plaguing the 2-11 Jaguars don’t appear near a solution (more shortly).

I guess the good news in Jacksonville, other than the refrain “Ding Dong the Witch is Dead,” would be that the equally inept 2-11 Houston Texans will be Sunday’s opponent.

The two teams met Week 1 in Houston, with the Texans routing the Jags 37-21 (early hint that the Jaguars were in for a long season). However, Houston’s ONLY win since that time was a 22-13 Week 11 shocker when they won at Tennessee as a 10.5-point underdog.

Houston enters this contest averaging NFL lows in scoring (13.6 PPG), rushing yards (77.5 YPG) and total offense (264.2 YPG). Defensively, Houston allows 27.4 PPG on 384.7 YPG (both stats rank 30th). The Jags average just 13.8 PPG (31st) on 303.1 YPG (30th). Defensively, the Jags allow 26.2 PPG (26th) on 357.2 YPG (20th).

Will Trevor Lawrence survive his rookie season and develop into an elite QB? Who knows but we currently know that under VERY trying circumstances, he’s completing only 58.2% with 9 TDs and 14 INTs for an abysmal QB rating of 68.9.

Houston also starts a rookie in David Mills, who has played since Tyrod Taylor went down with an injury. He’s completing 65.8% with 8 TDs and 8 INTS, giving him an 81.1 QB rating.

Unlike Lawrence, who had a great college career, Mills went mostly unnoticed while at Stanford, playing 13 games in 2019 and 2020.

The Jags have been ‘off my list’ since Week 2 but why not play them here? Remember, the Jags not only beat Buffalo here at home (Week 9) but held the high-scoring Bills to just SIX points. If the Jags can’t win this one…

In what should be a close game on Sunday afternoon, consider grabbing the points with Colgate. I played on the Raiders once this season. They were laying -20.5 and they won by 30+.

Here’s an excerpt of what I said: “… This is a mismatch. The Raiders have quietly dominated the Patriot League over the past four years. They were 50-16 in league play, the past four seasons, 11-1 last year.

They were second in the entire country last year, in terms of scoring. This year’s team brought back four starters. On paper, it’s arguably even stronger than last year. They’ve got talent, depth, and experience. Poor Columbia.

The last time that the Lions played on the road they lost by a score of 98-60. That was against an opponent (UMBC) which isn’t as good as the one they’ll face this evening. The score was 49-19 by halftime.

While the Lions did bounce back from that beating. Their win came against the Maine Brown Bears. Also, note that they’re just 2-9-1 ATS their last 12, after having covered the spread in their previous game.

Overall, the Lions are 0-4 on the road. With Colgate 7-2 ATS its last nine home games, against teams which have won less than 40% of their road games, expect this one to result in a blowout … ”

Of course, Monmouth is much tougher than Columbia. That said, the Raiders still match up well against the Hawks.

Monmouth just had a highly successful road trip. They haven’t played here in nearly a month though and that first game back can be tough.

The 49ers are notorious ticket burners at Levi Field to the tune of 5-16-1 L22 as a home favorite. Add to the mix Hotlanta’s 6-2 straight-up run in the series makes taking double-digits with a team that is still trying to make the playoffs and has a legit shot still worth a flyer.

The Blackhawks are playing reasonably well right now, coming off an overtime win over the Capitals two nights ago. The Preds, meanwhile, are riding a six-game winning streak but find themselves in a very difficult spot here, playing the second of back-to-back nights, missing seemingly half their roster due to Covid protocols.

They managed to post a big 5-2 win over Colorado last night but the Avs were also missing a number of key cogs due to Covid. They won’t be so fortunate against the Blackhawks here tonight.

Chicago already took the first meeting this season by a 2-1 score right here at the United Center. Expect a similar outcome on Friday. Take Chicago.

Boston recently got Jaylen Brown back and are as close to full strength as they have been in a while. They just beat the Bucks 117-103 at home and Milwaukee had most of their guys for that game. You know they are going to be up for this game with Curry and company coming to town. 

Key here is this is not a great spot for the Warriors. It’s now game 4 on Golden State’s 5-game road trip that ends in Toronto tomorrow.

They are 2-1 on the trip but didn’t dominate in either win. They also saw Curry break that 3-point record in their last game, which I think also creates a potential letdown. Give me the Celtics +4!

The UNDER is 5-0 in Seattle’s last five games overall.  They are broken on offense as Russell Wilson has played through injury and has really regressed.  But they have at least stayed competitive due to having a great defense that is at least trying to do all they can to keep them in games while Wilson struggles.

The Seahawks have scored 15 or fewer points in four of their last five games overall.  They have scored 20 or fewer points in six of their last seven with the only exception being the Jaguars.  

But the defense has held its own in allowing 23 points or fewer in six straight games and an average of just 16.7 points per game in those six contests.

The 49ers have one of the best defenses in the NFL.  They are giving up just 22.5 points and 318.7 yards per game on the season.  Their offense has been clicking of late, but they take a big blow here with the loss of their top playmaker in Deebo Samuel to a groin injury suffered last week.  

Samuel has 56 receptions for 1,006 yards and five touchdowns, while also rushing for 203 yards and five scores on the season.  He is worth more to the spread and total than he is getting credit for.

The UNDER is 19-7 in Seahawks last 26 games overall.  The UNDER is 10-1 in Seahawks last 11 games following an ATS loss.  The UNDER is 9-0 in Seahawks last nine games after allowing more than 250 passing yards in their previous game.  The UNDER is 9-1-1 in 49ers last 11 games after allowing more than 250 passing yards in their previous game.  Bet the UNDER in this game Sunday.

The line has been going down on this matchup, enough so that I now feel comfortable backing TCU at this current lay price.

The Horned Frogs are 4-0 at home. All of these victories have been by at least 13 points with the latest being, 68-51, against Austin Peay this past Monday.

Oral Roberts is coming off a satisfying, 87-80, victory against Tulsa at home this past Monday. The Golden Eagles are 4-3. They are a middle-tier Summit League team that is 0-2 on the road. One of those defeats was to Colorado State, 109-80, as a 12-point ‘dog.

The Golden Eagles are reliant upon hitting their 3-pointers. They have a good scorer in Max Abmas, who averages 22.3 points. 

But I don’t see Oral Roberts staying within single digits on the road against the Horned Frogs. TCU ranks third in the nation in rebounding and is tough defensively holding foes to 60.3 points.

The Stars are quietly rolling along right now, winners of five straight games, not surprisingly with four of them coming at home where they’ve gone 7-3, outscoring the opposition by 1.2 goals on average.

The Blue Jackets on the other hand are just 4-5 on the road and have probably played even worse than that record indicates, allowing a whopping 4.2 goals per game.

Dallas has been a streaky team in recent years, posting an incredible 16-3 record when playing at home off consecutive wins, as is the case here, outscoring opponents by an average margin of 1.6 goals. Here, the Stars will be seeking revenge for a 4-1 loss in Columbus back in October.

It’s worth noting that Dallas closed as a -140 favorite in that one. All things considered, I don’t believe we’re being asked to lay all that big of a price with the red hot Stars tonight. Take Dallas.

Pitt is off to a tough 2-4 start to the season and enters Tuesday’s clash with Big Ten foe Minnesota on a two-game skid. The Panthers looked like a deflated balloon coming off a blowout loss to Vandy, suffering a stunning double-digit defeat at the hands of Maryland-Baltimore County last time out.

Expect a response from Jeff Capel’s Panthers on Tuesday as they host Minnesota in a winnable contest before heading on the road for their ACC opener against Virginia on Friday. The Golden Gophers will be playing their first true road game of the season on Tuesday as they try to stay undefeated on the campaign.

That’s notable as they went winless in true road games last season, 0-10 to be exact (1-9 ATS). We can expect some regression to the mean in terms of both teams’ defensive play. Minnesota has held its last two opponents to 32.8% and 31.7% shooting. Meanwhile, Pitt has been lit up over its last two contests, allowing the opposition to shoot 48.1% from the field.

Noting that the Gophers are a miserable 19-40 ATS when coming off four ATS wins in their last five games while the Panthers are 12-2 ATS the last 14 times they’ve come off consecutive home losses, we’ll back Pitt in this spot. Take Pittsburgh.

The Key: The Houston Texans returned from their bye and upset the Tennessee Titans 22-13 as 10-point road underdogs last week.  They are just such a better team with Tyrod Taylor at quarterback.  

His dual-threat ability adds another dimension to their offense that opponents have to prepare for.  He had 2 rushing touchdowns against the Titans last week to lead the way.  And now he should have a monster game against the worst defense in the NFL in the Jets.  New York yields 32.0 PPG and 414.3 YPG this year.  

And not even Zach Wilson can save them offensively as he is expected to return to the lineup this week.  They have so many other injuries on offense that are going to make his job that much more difficult, while the Texans are one of the healthiest teams in the NFL.  Wilson has 4 TD against 9 INT this year and is a turnover machine.  

He has been the worst of the 4 QB’s for the Jets thus far.  New York is 14-34-3 ATS in its last 51 road games.  Take Houston.

I’ve been burned by the Panthers quite a bit this season. Just feels like I’ve been off on them in the majority of their games.

I think they are going to cover and they don’t and when I bet against them they play like Super Bowl contenders. It’s the only reason I didn’t make this a premium play because I love the Panthers laying less than a field goal against the Dolphins. 

It’s really hard to win games when your offense can’t sustain drives and this Miami offense is one of the worst in the NFL. They haven’t scored 30 points in a single game and we are going into Week 12. They could only muster 24 against an awful Jets defense last week. 

Now they face one of the better defensive teams in the league in the Panthers and they are going to get Carolina’s best after an ugly loss at home to Washington last week.

I just think Miami’s defense has to be perfect for them to have any shot here and I’m willing to be Cam Newton and Christian McCaffrey can find enough offense to win this game. Give me the Panthers -1.5!

This one just feels like an Under. All the pieces are in place for that to happen. 

Both teams are playing well. Tampa Bay is 6-1 in its last seven games. Minnesota is 8-4 in its last 12 games. So the defensive intensity should be there.

Each team is in excellent defensive form. The Lightning shut out their last two opponents, Seattle and Philadelphia. The Wild have allowed only three goals in their last two games.

The goalies are having excellent seasons. Adrei Vasilevskiy could be the best in the league. He has a .926 save percentage and 2.09 goals-against average. Cam Talbot has a .913 save percentage and a 2.75 GAA. 

It’s an early start, too, another plus for the Under.

The Cleveland Browns are getting healthier while the Baltimore Ravens are banged up.  Pernell McPhee is on IR, while Calais Campbell, Marquise Brown, Jimmy Smith and Brandon Williams are all questionable.  

The Ravens have struggled to put teams away due to their soft defense this year.  They are only outscoring opponents by 1.7 points per game on the season despite their 7-3 record, which they are fortunate to have.  

I think there’s value with the Browns catching 3.5 points against the Ravens due to all their injuries and soft defense. Cleveland has a stout defense that gives up just 316.7 yards per game and 5.5 yards per play, compared to 369.7 yards per game and 6.4 yards per play allowed by Baltimore.  

The Ravens are 0-6 ATS as a favorite of 3.5 to 9.5 points this season.  Baltimore is 0-5 ATS in its last five games off a ATS win.  Cleveland is 5-0 ATS in its last five road games against a team with a winning home record.  Give me the Browns.

Stanford is 0-6 SU & 0-6 ATS in its last six games overall.  The Cardinal really appear to have packed it in in their last three games.  They followed up a 45-point loss to Utah with a 21-point loss to Oregon State and a 30-point loss to California.  I don’t see them showing up this week either even though it’s a rivalry game.  But they’re so bad it might not matter.

Stanford is 0-9 ATS in its last nine games following two or more consecutive losses.  The Cardinal are 0-9-2 ATS in their last 11 November games.  Stanford is 1-7 ATS in its last eight home games, and it will actually feel like a home game for Notre Dame this weekend.

What about Marshall quarterback Grant Wells? He can be a turnover machine at times. 12 INT’s on the season. Marshall has fumbled the ball 17 times this year (have lost only 8).

This looks like the oddsmakers are setting you up for a trap bet on the Tigers. Bama isn’t being talked about as the dominating team that they’ve been in the past but consider this: Last year the Tide went 13-0, scored 48.5PPG, and allowed 19.4PPG, and won by an average of 29.1PPG.

This year the Tide are scoring 44PPG, giving up 20.3PPG, with a +/- of +24.6PPG. So statistically they are just as good as last year. Auburn is on a 3 game skid with a 17-point loss at Texas A&M, a 9-point loss home against Mississippi State, and a 4-point loss last week at S Carolina.

The Tide have a huge advantage in the passing game as they throw for 344PYPG which is the 8th best in college football. Auburn is 79th against the pass allowing 236PYPG. Auburn wants to run the football here, but Bama allows just 84RYPG which is 5th best in the nation.

The Tigers’ backup QB’s have completed just 56% of their passes since Bo Nix went out. Auburn has already lost by 9-points at home to Miss State and 14 to Georgia. We will lay the points with Bama

But they then went and upset Minnesota 14-6 as 14.5-point road dogs.  And last week they outgained Iowa by 57 yards in a 23-33 road loss as 12-point dogs.  Northwestern is 0-5 SU & 1-4 ATS in its last five games overall.  

They were outgained by 171 yards in their 14-32 loss to Purdue, by 258 yards in their 7-35 loss to Wisconsin, by 200 yards in their 14-41 loss to Minnesota, and by 224 yards in their 7-33 loss to Michigan.  They haven’t even been competitive in these games.  Give me Illinois.

There’s just no salvaging the season for Texas at this point.  The damage has already been done.  They have lost six straight games coming in to fall to 4-7 and out of bowl contention.  I don’t see them getting back up off the mat to beat Kansas State Friday, and I’m shocked they are favored given the turmoil within their program.

The Longhorns followed up their 23-point loss to Iowa State by getting upset as 31-point favorites against Kansas.  They failed to show up on the road at West Virginia last week, losing 31-23 as only 2.5-point underdogs.  

Kansas State doesn’t take games off.  I know they will show up with their ‘A’ game here against Texas, and that should be good enough to win this game outright no matter what kind of effort we get from the Longhorns.  

They would love nothing more than to send Texas to the SEC with one final loss just as the rest of the Big 12 has enjoyed doing this season.

The Wildcats are playing very well coming into this game.  They have gone 4-1 SU & 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games overall.  Their lone loss during this stretch came last week in a 10-20 home loss to Baylor.  

Well, Baylor is not only one of the best teams in the Big 12, but one of the best teams in the entire country at 9-2 this season.  This is a big step down in competition for the Wildcats.

Kansas State is 39-15-2 ATS in its last 56 games following an ATS loss.  The Wildcats are 5-0 ATS in their last five games vs. a team with a losing record.  Kansas State is 11-1 ATS in its last 12 games as a road underdog of 3 points or less.  Texas is 0-6 ATS in its last six games overall.  The Wildcats are 10-3-1 ATS in the last 14 meetings.  Bet Kansas State Friday.

Is this some sort of shell game with the oddsmaker making Nebraska a favorite against Iowa?

Maybe I’m a sucker then but I’ll put my 11-4 Big Ten Conference record on the line by taking the underdog Hawkeyes.

The 16th-ranked Hawkeyes are 9-2 and alive for the Big Ten Conference West Division title.

Nebraska is 3-8 and has lost its last five games. This will be the fourth consecutive season the Cornhuskers don’t make a bowl game. That hasn’t happened in 40 years. Bob Devaney has to be turning over in his grave. Perhaps even more depressing is Scott Frost will return as the Cornhuskers coach next season.

Iowa surrenders the ninth-fewest points in the country at 16.9. They rank 13th in defensive total yards yielding 314.7 per game. The Hawkeyes also holds a huge edge in special teams against Nebraska.

The Cornhuskers’ advantage is supposed to be on offense. However, QB Adrian Martinez, the school’s career total yardage leader, has been ruled out due to a shoulder injury suffered against Wisconsin last week.

Replacing Martinez is freshman Logan Smothers, who has thrown 11 passes. Smothers faces an elite defense here. He’s not likely to have a good starting field position either.

Iowa made a quarterback change a couple of weeks ago going from Spencer Petras to Alex Padilla. Neither is going to generate any Heisman talk, but Padilla probably is the better QB. The Cornhuskers have another key injury, linebacker JoJo Domann. He’s probably their best defensive player.

Minus Domann, who has a hand injury, the Cornhuskers gave up a season-high 35 points to a Wisconsin team that was averaging 24.5 points per game entering the matchup discounting a 52-point performance against Rutgers.

So I see no reason why Iowa shouldn’t beat Nebraska for the seventh straight time.

Missouri enters have won two straight games and will be able to score in the twenties in this game. The Tigers are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games being played on Friday. Arkansas is 4-9 ATS (2 pushes) in their last 15 home games when they are a favorite.

I will take my chances with NC State winning by at least a touchdown at home against rival North Carolina. I just don’t think the Tar Heels are any good and if this team hadn’t had just big preseason hype, they would be looked at in a completely different way. 

You could argue that the Tar Heels could be 4-7 instead of 6-5 given their two 3-point wins over Miami and Wake Forest. As good as Sam Howell might be, I don’t see UNC keeping this game close. 

I just down think Howell and that offense can be as good offensively as they are going to need to be against this NC State defense. The Wolfpack have one of the best defenses in the country, especially on their home field. UNC’s defense stinks.

They are giving up 33.8 ppg, 429.8 ypg, and 6.1 yards/play in ACC games. Wolfpack is giving up 21.1 ppg, 324.6 ypg, and 4.8 yards/play. It’s going to feel like the Tar Heels have to score every time they touch the ball. 

There are also different stakes involved here. UNC is playing for pride. NC State is still alive to win the Coastal and play in the ACC title game.

Given Clemson’s reign over the Coastal, getting to that game is huge for a team like the Wolfpack. It’s not out of the question. They need to win and have Wake Forest lose at BC (Demon Deacons only -5). 

The best part is that this game is Friday and Wake plays on Saturday, which I think only adds more fuel to the fire. They can make Wake sleep on all that pressure of knowing they have to win their game. Give me the Wolfpack -6!

This is a great spot for the Cincinnati Bengals.  They are coming off their bye week and highly motivated for a victory after losing their last two games to the Jets and Browns coming in.  Look for them to get back in the win column here against the reeling Las Vegas Raiders.

After losing 16-23 on the road to the Giants following their bye week, the Raiders were blasted 14-41 at home by the Kansas City Chiefs last week.  They gave up 422 passing yards to the Patrick Mahomes and company with their Cover 3 defense.  Look for Joe Burrow to have a field day with this Las Vegas defense as well.

This Las Vegas offense is broken without Henry Ruggs.  After managing just 16 points in their first game without him against the Giants, they put up just 14 points on a soft Kansas City defense.  

They cannot run the ball, and Josh Jacobs is questionable.  So it’s easy to stop the Raiders when teams know they just need to double-team TE Darren Waller.  The Bengals will definitely take a page out of the Giants and Chiefs books defensively.

Las Vegas is 1-9 ATS in its last 10 home games following a blowout loss by 21 points or more.  Cincinnati is 5-1 ATS in its last six games following a double-digit home loss.  The Raiders are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games after allowing more than 30 points in their previous game.  Cincinnati is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings.  Bet the Bengals Sunday.

Saturday’s Free NCAAF Pick is on the Virginia Cavaliers as a 14.5-point road dog against the Pittsburgh Panthers. I just think we are seeing a massive overreaction with the line here after Virginia’s 28-3 loss at home to Notre Dame last week.

The Cavaliers didn’t have star quarterback Brennan Armstrong for that game and it felt like to me they were just being cautious with him because of how much this game meant to Virginia. The winner of this game moves into the driver’s seat for a spot in the ACC title game as the rep from the Coastal.

I’m going with the assumption that Armstrong is playing and if he doesn’t, I’ll just look for an in-game spot to buy off. Bet the Cavaliers +14.5!

UAB (7-3) has won four of their last five games with their 21-14 upset win at Marshall as a 4.5-point underdog last Saturday. UAB is now 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 games against conference opponents. UTSA (10-0) remained unbeaten this season with their 27-13 win against Southern Miss as a 32.5-point favorite last week.

The Roadrunners held the Golden Eagles to just 189 total yards — but they have failed to cover the point spread in 9 of their last 12 games after not allowing more than 275 yards in their last game.

I think we are getting a great price here to back Navy as a 4-point home dog against the Pirates on Saturday. While you can’t ignore the numbers that teams have produced up to this point, I believe you really got to look at motivation a lot more this time of year. 

That’s really where I think the value comes from in this matchup. This is an awful spot for East Carolina. The Pirates come into this game off a wild 30-29 OT win on the road against Memphis. A game where the Tigers kicked a last-second field goal to force OT and then ECU won on a failed 2-pt conversion by Memphis in that first overtime. 

What really makes this is a letdown spot for ECU in my eyes, is that win for the Pirates got them to 6-4 and bowl eligible, which is a big deal for a program of their stature.

It really makes this game against Navy meaningless and that’s a problem when you factor in who they have on deck. Assuming Cincinnati doesn’t lose at home to SMU this Saturday, ECU will get the last crack in the regular season to give the Bearcats their first loss of the season and it’s going to be on their home field. 

I just have a hard time seeing ECU being the least bit excited about facing the triple-option of Navy and while the Midshipmen are just 2-4 in the AAC and 2-7 overall, they have covered 5 of their last 7, three straight at home and are off a bye. Give me Navy +4!

This is a play on the LIBERTY FLAMES for our Saturday Free Play. Louisiana has won nine straight games including its last seven within the Sun Belt Conference to lock up the West Division and now it plays a meaningless non-conference game against Liberty the week before playing rival UL Monroe to close out the regular season.

Four of the seven conference wins have been by a single possession so it really has not been an easy path and this includes three road games decided by an average of 3.7 ppg and the fourth the Cajuns were outgained by Troy despite winning by 14 points as they took advantage of two Trojans fumbles.

Louisiana comes in ranked No. 55 in total offense and No. 47 in total defense and it will have a difficult time running the ball here which is its strength. The Cajuns are 0-4 ATS in their last four games following an ATS win. Liberty is coming off its bye week after playing nine straight games without a break.

The Flames lost at Mississippi prior to that but they gave the Rebels all they could handle as they were outgained by just nine total yards but were killed by three interceptions. The other two losses came against UL Monroe and Syracuse, both by three points and both taking place on the road.

The home schedule has not been daunting but they did what they needed to do and that is blow out every team and by an average of 35.5 ppg. This will be their biggest test at home and they will gladly accept the challenge to extend their 15-game home winning streak. The Flames are 8-0 ATS in their last eight home games.

They gave up 40 points to a bad South Carolina offense, 34 to Georgia, and 49 to LSU in their three games prior to Samford.  Missouri has been awful defensively all season.  The Tigers allow 35.9 points per game overall and 38.5 points per game in SEC play.  But they have a solid offense that puts up 31.5 points per game.  

Florida averages 33.5 points per game, and I expect both teams to top their season averages in this contest.  The OVER is 18-7-1 in Gators’ last 26 road games.  The OVER is 7-2 in Missouri’s last nine games overall.  Give me the OVER.

The Red Wings are reeling right now and fall into one of our favorite fade spots in the entire NHL as they’ve gone a miserable 4-30 in their last 34 road games after giving up four goals or more in their previous game, outscored by an average margin of 2.3 goals in that situation going back over the last 2+ seasons.

Meanwhile, Vegas checks in 19-3 the last 22 times it has sought revenge for a road loss by two or more goals, as is the case here after a 5-2 loss in Detroit earlier this month, outscoring opponents by 1.3 goals on average in that spot.

While the Knights are dealing with a number of absences right now, the Red Wings aren’t full healthy either with Dylan Larkin forced to leave their last game due to Covid protocols.

At least Vegas does have one of its top scoring threats back in the lineup in Mark Stone. Look for him to contribute to a much-needed victory on Thursday night. Take Vegas.
